I started making preserves from ingredients grown in a patch in my garden, and in many ways things haven’t changed. I still grow a large proportion of what goes into our jars and it’s this close relationship with these ingredients that’s allowed me to develop an exciting range that you won’t find elsewhere.
Then…
It all started with a garden… My first back garden was only small but immediately turned over to growing edible crops. Quickly outgrowing the garden, an allotment took it’s place which rewarded me with abundant harvests of glorious home-grown produce. From this preserving became the natural next step...
Starting as a hobby I found a real love for making jams and chutneys, seeking out the best recipes and trialling my own flavour combinations. After initially just sharing the fruits of my labour with friends and family I took the next step to join the local farmers market - I have not looked back since!

Now…
Seven years from when the first seed was sown in my back garden… I now have a field situated in a beautiful spot in the East Kent countryside. From grassy beginnings it is now jam packed with plants and bushes, housing a 56ft polytunnel, large fruit cage and an expanding orchard.
In addition to home-grown produce, strawberries, raspberries, apricots, plums, peppers and tomatoes are among the many fruits and vegetables that the amazing farmers of East Kent farmers supply. Sourcing locally, responsibly and using what is in season has always been the primary goal.
Over the past 5 years I have developed a core range of exciting jams, chutneys and pickles which I am proud of. You will not find many of these flavour combinations elsewhere and they continue to be made from start to finish by hand in small batches retaining the home-made quality.
